Food and Outreach

Operation Life minsters to the hungry through various food programs operating in Papua New Guinea including street, hospital and prison feeding programs.

The food programs are entirely dependent on Operation Life supporters.

Prisons

Prisons are tough places for inmates. Food is limited. Operation Life runs prison food programs which include a church service and a healthy meal for both men’s and women’s prisoners.

Hospitals

Hospitals Food is limited in the hospitals. Operation Life runs hospital food programs which include a special meal, a touching hand, and a personal prayer with each individual in their time of need.

On the Streets

Operation Life feeds over 500 impoverished and homeless people daily with nutritious meals on the streets of Port Moresby.

Every donation feeds a hungry individual

Your contribution goes towards feeding patients in hospitals, inmates in prison in conjunction with street preaching programs that minster and feed the impoverished and homeless.

A Serious Hunger Issue

Currently Papua New Guinea is ranked 110th out of 127 countries on the Global Hunger Index. There is a serious level of hunger in Papua New Guinea.

27.7% of the population is undernourished
39.8% of children under five are stunted
6.9% of children under five are wasted
4.1% of children die before their fifth birthday
